YOU SAID IT: Going to get ugly in U.S.

Many will pooh-pooh these comments and say I am a pessimist. I hope you are right, but I fear you are not.
(A bold, and somewhat frightening, prediction.)
PLEASE, NO VIOLENCE
I am wondering what we will wake up to on Nov. 4, whether anybody will be singing What a Wonderful World. There are already threats of violence, riots and what have you.
America votes on Nov. 3, and, whatever the verdict is, Americans need to respect and celebrate regardless of who wins, and that would be a wonderful message to the whole world — no more uncertainty, world — for everyone knows that, when America votes, it affects the entire world.
Whether it’s the Republicans or the Democrats who prevail, please, no violence, no riots.

The old saying “hang on to your wallets” could have a whole new meaning in a very short time. According to Ontario Treasury Board president Peter Bethlenfalvy, he believes the digital wallets can be created in a way that maintains user privacy.
Oh, for sure I am going to trust the government to keep all my personal information online, just like I believe they will not raise taxes.
Digital wallets will no doubt come with digital pickpockets.
To me it looks like we have many adult paid writers doing so much complaining in this pandemic. Would you let your kids go for a swim if a shark warning was posted at the beach? Mr. Ford and Dr. Williams are telling us the same about Halloween. Do it if you want, but the signs are all around you. Don’t blame us if you fall!
Let’s focus on the next six months. Santa and the children will be all right. If we start here, now, maybe we could see some back to the old ways come spring.
(That feels like a pretty big if, at the moment.)
