I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here 2019 saw famous faces from across the world of showbiz jet out to the Australian jungle for what might be the last time for a while, if global travel restrictions continue.

2019’s series of the show saw Coronation Street star Andrew Whyment, former EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa and radio DJ Roman Kemp make it to the final, with Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway just missing out on a place in the top three.

But who took home the crown and was awarded the title King, or Queen, of the Jungle title in 2019?

Here’s what you need to know…

Who won I’m A Celebrity 2019?

Jacqueline Jossa was crowned Queen of the Jungle in the I’m A Celebrity 2019 final.

The former EastEnders actress fought off competition from runner-up Andrew Whyment to take the title – with Roman Kemp having finished third earlier in the show.

The mother-of-two she was visibly emotional after the winner was announced and she thanked viewers for voting before professing her love for husband Dan Osborne.

‘Thank you so much for voting for me,’ she said. ‘I love my family so much, I love Daniel, I love  my kids, I love my mum and dad, my best friends…’

Speaking before she was crowned the winner, Jacqueline said she couldn’t quite believe how many of her fears she had faced in the Bushtucker Trials during the show.

‘I can’t believe I did all that stuff. It was not what I expected, it was a lot harder than I expected,’ Jacqueline admitted.

‘But also I just didn’t think it was going to be such a turning point in life. I went in and was one person and I feel like I’ve come out as a different person.

‘I feel like I’ve grown in confidence and found who I am as a person a little bit more.’

Earlier in the show Jacqueline undertook a gruelling trial to win a final night of food, drink and treats for camp, which saw her being covered in cockroaches, mealworms, critters, scorpions and spiders – one of which she had to hold in her mouth to complete the trial.

Will there be another series of I’m A Celebrity in 2020?

I’m A Celebrity will return in 2020, with a fresh batch of celebrities, but the show will be very different from any previous series.

Due to the ongoing global pandemic and travel restrictions, I’m A Celebrity 2020 will be filmed in the UK for the first time ever, with contestants living in an abandoned castle somewhere in the British countryside instead of the Australian jungle.

Ant and Dec will return to front the series and the celebs will still have to face trials to earn stars and win food – they’ll just be swapping shorts and jungle heat for thermals and the chill of the UK in November.
