Tiger Woods rushed to hospital after single-car accident in L.A.
Golf superstar Tiger Woods has been hospitalized after getting involved in a single-vehicle roll-over accident Tuesday morning in Los Angeles.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office, firefighters and paramedics needed to use the Jaws of Life to get Woods out of the vehicle, which suffered major damage. He was transported to hospital by ambulance after the accident.
Woods hosted, but didn’t play in, the Genesis Invitational last weekend at the Riviera Country Club in L.A. He is still recovering from back surgery, the fifth time he has gone under the knife to get it fixed.
Mark Steinberg, Woods’ agent, told TMZ that the golfer suffered “multiple leg injuries” and is currently in surgery. Police sources also told TMZ alcohol was not considered to be a factor.
