NRL, Wests Tigers 2020, Josh Aloiai vs club chairman, Instagram
Wantaway Wests Tigers prop Josh Aloiai has hit back at Lee Hagipantelis on Instagram following a stinging rebuke from the club chairman.
Aloiai is pushing for an immediate release from his contract with the NRL club — a request Hagipantelis is adamant the club will not grant him.
Hagipantelis told foxsports.com.au the Tigers would rather let the star “mow the lawns at Leichhardt and Campbelltown” than release him from the final year of his contract.

Aloiai responded by posting a meme on his Instagram story of a man mowing the lawn with his face posted on top and the caption: “I’ll make sure it’s a super fast track boys”.
Aloiai demanded an immediate release from the Tigers on Tuesday with the intention of joining Manly, telling officials he will “never wear the jersey again”.
A report in The Sydney Morning Herald, claimed that Aloiai’s manager, Tyran Smith, approached the club in recent weeks asking for an extension.
Smith also represents Addin Fonua-Blake whose move to the Warriors has freed up salary cap space at Brookvale.
Aloiai has also been one of Michael Maguire’s strongest supporters in a season where there has been growing speculation of a dressing room rift.
However, the Samoan international has now changed his mind and decided he wants to leave the Tigers with a move to the Sea Eagles on offer.
