Ellen White scored a hat-trick as England returned to action for the first time in almost a year to thump Northern Ireland at St George’s Park. White took her international tally to 37 goals in a 6-0 win in the behind-closed-doors friendly, with Lucy Bronze, Rachel Daly and Ella Toone also on the scoresheet. The Lionesses had not played since March last year after scheduled matches against Germany and Norway were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
