FAIR TRADE
Can we trade the two pandas in Calgary for our two Canadian Michaels? I know we can’t get the bamboo imported to sustain the pandas’ food source. But why does Canada continue to bow down to China and not get these two individuals back home after a year and half now. Pandas one way to China, two Michaels on the return trip to Canada.
DARLENE BOYCHUK
(If only it were that simple, eh?)

WE CAN’T TAKE IT
In order to stem this virus, having people self-isolate for a short period of time might work. But if isolation is in place until July or August, it will become a catastrophic failure not only from a mental-health perspective but also from a financial perspective for both individuals and companies. It is now abundantly clear that countries like Italy, France and Spain, who have self-isolated now for over a month and where deaths are still rising by an unprecedented amount, have failed in controlling spread of this virus.
CODY J. ANTONUK
(If the choice is between isolation and getting seriously sick, we will continue to do what we need to do.)

CHECK IT OUT
Re: Radiation throughout Calgary with 5G technology is not being reported. There are serious consequences for free media when they don’t work for the public. You should be ashamed of your industry for sitting on your hands.
GARY BUXTON
(Our hands are too full to be sitting on, but thanks.)

OVER MY DEAD BODY
I hope what I have heard is fake news, but if true, my worst fears have come true. It has been stated, that (Prime Minister Justin) Trudeau has given the Chinese government the green light to test a corona vaccine on Canadians come this September! If true, then Trudeau can shove the vaccine where the sun doesn’t shine.
J.D. ROUND
(That is not true.)

LOOK IN THE MIRROR
Our clueless klutz Kenney has the nerve to criticize the CCP, when his UCP seems to be even more dangerously corrupt and incompetent in many ways. The latest example being Premier (Jason) Kenney’s last-minute cancellation of the Calgary-Brooks opening, while forcing the opening of the outbreaking Balzac, Brooks and High River slaughterhouses because Harmony, JBS and Cargill are somehow safer than Calgary and Brooks restaurants? This is with no evidence, nor studies concluding that cattle, alive or dead, are safe from COVID-19, according to the U of C vet med website. Of course, our UCP-loving state-controlled print media probably won’t publish this letter.
KUMAR JAIN
(State-controlled media? That comment really undermines your point.)

DO WHAT I SAY …
Our prime minister said we should support our East Coast fishing industry by buying fish and lobster. Why? Because it’s the right thing to do … it’s the Canadian thing to do. Funny it doesn’t work with oil, which supported this country for years. He would rather pay full price to the Saudis than use Canadian oil. The man is not wired right!
PETER SZECSY
(Canadians should always support fellow Canadians.)
