Homicide detectives probe suspected double murder
It doesn’t look like murder had a chance to catch its breath.
A number of shootings and stabbings across the GTA had homicide detectives scrambling.
On Saturday night, cops were called to 4205 Lawrence Ave. E., at Morningside Ave. in West Hill around 10:18 p.m. after the bodies of two people were discovered in an apartment unit at that address.
The dead were described as two adults.
Officers deemed the deaths suspicious and the homicide unit has now been called in.
On Sunday, the forensics unit was on the scene as detectives canvassed the area.
If the deaths are ruled murders, they will be the 44th and 45th homicides of 2020.
On Thursday, officers were called to 30 Harrison Garden Blvd. in the Yonge St. and Hwy. 401 area just before 8 p.m. for reports of a shooting.
Cops found a male in the parking garage suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Wednesday, six people sent to hospital in three separate shootings.
