France set to take on New Zealand in mouthwatering opening match at the 2023 Rugby World Cup… as it is announced both England and Scotland will be in action on bumper opening weekend in Marseille
- France and New Zealand will open the 2023 Rugby World Cup in Saint-Denis
- England and Scotland face Pool matches in Marseille on the first weekend
- Eddie Jones’ England side also have Pool matches in Nice and Lille
- The 2023 Rugby World Cup will take place in France starting on September 8
Meanwhile, England and Scotland fans will converge on Marseille for the opening weekend of tournament with both sides playing their opening Pool games with Argentina and South Africa at the Stade de Velodrome.
Eddie Jones’ side will contest Pool D with Argentina, Japan and two other qualifiers yet to be decided- one from Oceania and one from the Americas.
France vs New Zealand will open the 2023 Rugby World Cup on Friday September 8
Eight days after taking on Argentina in Marseille, England face Japan in Nice while their other two Pool games against the qualifying sides will take place in Lille.
