Five Iconic Princess Diana Looks Recreated In The Crown's Latest Season
2views

The Crown finally introduced the most-awaited character on the show and its none other than the Princess of Wales. Princess Diana was an icon and loved around the world for many obvious reasons. Her style is one of the major things that she’s remembered for, it’s simple with ’90s chic and elegance.

The Crown’s costume designer Amy Roberts has managed to perfect almost every outfit that the princess wore throughout the years. The designer explained Town & Country, the version of Diana that actress Emma Corrin portrays is just getting her footing. At the beginning of the season, she’s naïve and uncertain, not far removed from high school, but as the episodes progress, the story takes that girl on this momentous journey, where she meets the handsome prince, she’s engaged, and then she’s kind of whisked away to the palace.

The series has managed to recreate some of the iconic looks of Lady Di. Take a look at them below.

The pink outfit Diana wore at Highgrove in 1986 served as inspiration for one of the looks in the series. The pink sweater is perfectly co-ordinated with pink gingham pants.

Princess Diana’s red dress that she wore the Royal Opera House in 1982, served as an inspiration to recreate this another classy look.

Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s engagement announcement was such an iconic and well-remembered moment that costume designer Roberts chose to nail this royal blue and white outfit.

During Diana’s “Balmoral Test” in the series, she opted for a pink, patterned sweater that would be familiar to royal watchers. The pattern is quite similar to Lady Di’s reddish-pink sweater.

The wedding dress worn by Corrin is way too similar to Diana’s actual wedding dress. There’s hardly any major difference that we can see in it. It’s hand down, one of the best replica costumes that they’ve perfected.
