Discord down reports are spiking this afternoon with suggestions that the online chat app is having issues with its many servers.

Problems with the service first began at around 3pm BST this afternoon and as per Independent outage monitor Down Detector there’s been a slow burn of increasing reports ever since.

It seems as though numerous players are reporting problems with connections or voice chat for the popular VoIP service.

Discord’s official twitter account has been replying to users only and have confirmed they are looking into problems with the service.

“@discord is discord voice chat down for anyone?”

“@discord what happened, can’t connect to voice chats, can’t talk with my friends only messages work, after 7 mins of waiting we could finally talk but then we got disconnected again and the “Connecting” thing showed up.”

In response there’s been a mix of replied from Discord’s official account, but the replies more or less mirror the below message:

“Our team’s aware of some voice connection troubles! To help us look into this, could you let me know which specific server region you’re experiencing this issue on?In a voice call, click the voice info button to right of the signal strength bars. (i.e. us-central737)”
