Streets were flooded in Pondicherry on November 26, after Cyclone Nivar brought heavy rain to India’s Tamil Nadu state. Video posted by Blesson Daniel show cars driving through floodwater along a main street in the city as people are also seen wading through the water. The India Meteorological Department said Nivar brought 237 mm of rain to Pondicherry between 8:30 am on November 25 and 2:30 am the following day. Nivar weakened to a cyclonic storm after it made landfall and would continue to weaken over Thursday into a depression, the IMD said. Credit: Blesson Daniel via Storyful
