Chelsea transfer news: Kai Havertz spoke to Timo Werner and Antonio Rudiger ahead of move | Football | Sport
Kai Havertz has reportedly reached out to Chelsea stars Timo Werner and Antonio Rudiger ahead of an expected move to Stamford Bridge this summer. The German has supposedly contacted his international team-mates for information about his prospective new club as the Blues look to agree a £72million transfer fee with Bayer Leverkusen.
Chelsea are preparing for a squad overhaul this summer and have already made their first moves with the signings of Werner and Hakim Ziyech before the transfer window even opened.
A £33.4million deal for Ziyech was struck with Ajax back in February while the Blues wasted no time triggering Werner’s £53m release clause at RB Leipzig once it became clear Liverpool would not move for the 24-year-old.

Now Chelsea have turned their attention to Havertz, with the Bayer Leverkusen ace having attracted plenty of interest from around Europe after 17 goals and nine assists in 43 appearances across all competitions this term.
The west London club appear to have fought off other suitors and have reportedly already agreed personal terms with the 21-year-old, who is keen for a move away from the BayArena.
